Last updated: 3 November 2026 · Prices, credit tiers, rate limits and chain lists rechecked on vendor pages on 3 November 2026
The best QuickNode alternatives in 2026 are Chainstack for overall value, Alchemy for its free tier and developer tooling, and dRPC for the cheapest bill when Solana is in the mix. We ranked eight providers on the same six weighted criteria as our main RPC ranking, priced 12 chains on each meter and costed three multi-chain workloads.
QuickNode scores 7.7 in our ranking of the 12 best RPC node providers and has the widest audit list of any shared RPC vendor we track. Teams usually look elsewhere when its chain-based credit tiers or its 50 requests per second cap on the $49 plan start to bite. Our methodology page explains how we collect prices and screenshots.
TL;DR
- Overall: 1. Chainstack (8.6), 2. Alchemy (8.3), 3. dRPC (7.9), 4. GetBlock (7.8), 5. Helius (7.0, Solana only), 6. Ankr (6.3), 7. Infura (6.1), 8. NOWNodes (5.8). QuickNode scores 7.7 on the same weights.
- QuickNode bills each chain in a credit tier: 10 credits for Bitcoin, 20 for Ethereum and most EVM chains, 30 for Solana, TRON and Monad, 40 for Sui, TON and Polkadot, and 50 for NEAR.
- On the Build plan, one million NEAR calls cost $30.63, Sui calls $24.50 and Ethereum calls $12.25. Chainstack Growth charges $2.45 per million on every chain it lists, and dRPC Pro $4.80, or $3.90 on Solana.
- Build caps traffic at 50 requests per second. Chainstack, dRPC and GetBlock all give 250 or more for $49, while QuickNode needs Scale at $499 for 250.
- In our three workloads, QuickNode cost $185, $383 and $568 a month. The cheapest alternative cost $49 (Chainstack), $154 and $179 (both dRPC).
- QuickNode still leads on paperwork: SOC 1 Type 2, SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001. Chainstack is the closest match with SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001.
The Decision Kernel
Pick the replacement by why you are leaving QuickNode and which chains you run. Sui, TON and NEAR cost two to two and a half times the Ethereum rate on QuickNode. Export one month of QuickNode usage by chain and method before you price any alternative. The shortcuts below cover the common cases.
- Lowest bill on any chain, with audits: Chainstack, at 1 request unit per full-node call on every chain it lists, with SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001.
- Best free tier and data tooling: Alchemy, with 30M compute units a month free and pay as you go at $0.52 per 1M CU with 300 requests per second included.
- EVM plus Solana on one cheap pool: dRPC, which draws multi-chain and Solana calls from one compute unit pool at $4.80 and $3.90 per million on Pro.
- Top reliability on 20-credit EVM chains: GetBlock, with 130+ chains and SOC 2 Type II, as long as you avoid its 50 and 100 CU chain multipliers.
- Solana-heavy products: Helius for the Solana leg, paired with an EVM provider from this list.
- Simple per-request billing in euros: NOWNodes, where a call on any chain counts as one request.
Verdict: Chainstack for most teams leaving QuickNode, dRPC when Solana is a big share of traffic, Alchemy when the free tier and data APIs matter. Keep QuickNode as a fallback endpoint during the move.
How We Ranked the QuickNode Alternatives
We scored each provider from 1 to 5 on six weighted criteria, doubled, using the same weights and scores as our 12-provider RPC ranking. Every price, credit tier, rate limit and audit claim links to a vendor page checked on 3 November 2026. See our methodology page for the full process.
- Price per call, 25%: monthly bills for common method mixes, converted from each vendor’s billing unit.
- Reliability, 20%: public latency benchmarks, uptime claims, SLAs and support response targets.
- Compliance, 15%: SOC 2, ISO 27001 and other audits stated on the vendor’s own pages.
- Features, 15%: debug and trace APIs, archive data, WebSockets, streaming, dedicated nodes and data APIs.
- Coverage, 15%: how many chains one account reaches, including non-EVM chains.
- Free tier, 10%: how many real calls a team can make before paying.
| Provider | Price (25%) | Reliability (20%) | Compliance (15%) | Features (15%) | Coverage (15%) | Free tier (10%) | Score |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5 | 4 | 5 | 4 | 4 | 3 | 8.6 | |
| 3 | 4 | 4 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 8.3 | |
| 5 | 4 | 2 | 3 | 5 | 4 | 7.9 | |
| 3 | 5 | 4 | 4 | 5 | 2 | 7.8 | |
| 5 | 3 | 3 | 5 | 1 | 3 | 7.0 | |
| 2 | 3 | 4 | 3 | 4 | 4 | 6.3 | |
| 4 | 3 | 1 | 3 | 3 | 4 | 6.1 | |
| 4 | 3 | 1 | 2 | 5 | 1 | 5.8 | |
| 3 | 4 | 5 | 5 | 4 | 2 | 7.7 |

Four providers outscore QuickNode overall: Chainstack, Alchemy, dRPC and GetBlock. QuickNode keeps a 5 on compliance and features, so the gap comes from price and its one-month free trial. Helius ranks fifth on this list but only serves Solana. For longer-running free plans beyond that trial, see our free RPC providers guide.
Why Teams Move Off QuickNode

QuickNode runs a global node network with Streams, a marketplace of add-ons, dedicated clusters for Enterprise customers and the widest audit list in this group. Three traits push growing teams to price alternatives. The $49 Build plan allows 50 requests per second, and the next step up to 125 costs $249 a month.
- Plans: Free trial (10M API credits for one month, 15 rps, no overage), Build $49 (80M credits, 50 rps), Accelerate $249 (450M, 125 rps), Scale $499 (950M, 250 rps) and Business from $999 (2B, 500 rps). Annual billing cuts these to $34, $212, $424 and $849.
- Credit tiers: every method on a chain costs the same base credits, but chains sit in tiers from 10 to 50. Trace, debug, token and NFT APIs cost twice the chain rate, and calls such as
txpool_contentfour times, per its API credit page. - Overage: $0.62 per 1M credits on Build, falling to $0.56, $0.53 and $0.50 on the larger plans. QuickNode bills overage immediately once it passes $200.
- Solana streaming: Yellowstone gRPC streams are not included on Build or Accelerate. Scale includes 10 concurrent streams and Business 25.

Verdict: QuickNode still suits teams that need SOC 1 and SOC 2 reports, Streams or marketplace add-ons. Teams on 30 to 50 credit chains, or teams that outgrow 50 requests per second, pay less on the providers below. For dedicated clusters, see our dedicated node providers guide.
QuickNode Alternatives at a Glance
The table lines up each alternative’s billing unit, entry plan, free tier and rate limit. Fixed plans include a monthly allowance with overage above it, while Alchemy and Ankr bill pure usage. Check the billing unit first, since a credit on one vendor is not a credit on another.
| Provider | Billing unit | Free tier | Entry paid plan | Entry rate limit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Request units, 1 per call | 3M RU a month, 25 rps | Growth $49, 20M RU | 250 rps | |
| Compute units per method | 30M CU a month, 15 rps | Pay as you go, $0.52 per 1M CU | 300 rps included | |
| Compute units, flat per request | 210M CU on public nodes, 100 rps | Pro $49, 163M CU | 300 rps | |
| Compute units x chain multiplier | 50K CU a day, 20 rps | Starter $49, 90M CU | 250 rps | |
| Credits, Solana only | 1M credits, 10 rps | Developer $49, 10M credits | 50 rps | |
| API credits, 200 EVM, 500 Solana | 200M credits a month, 30 rps | Pay as you go from $10 per 100M credits | 1,500 rps | |
| Credits per method, daily quota | 3M credits a day | Developer $50, 15M credits a day | 4,000 credits per second | |
| Requests | 100,000 requests for one month | Pro Plus €90, 10M requests | Not stated on pricing page | |
| API credits by chain tier | 10M credits, one-month trial | Build $49, 80M credits | 50 rps |
Verdict: Chainstack, dRPC and GetBlock match QuickNode’s $49 entry price with five to six times its request ceiling. Alchemy and Ankr suit teams that would rather pay per use than per plan.
The Chain Tax: What One Million Calls Cost on Each Chain

QuickNode’s credit tiers mean the same app costs more on some chains than others. We priced one million standard calls on 12 chains, using each vendor’s entry plan near $49 a month at full use. One million NEAR calls cost $30.63 on QuickNode Build, two and a half times its Ethereum rate.
| Chain | QuickNode credits | QuickNode Build, per 1M | GetBlock CU | GetBlock Starter, per 1M | Chainstack Growth, per 1M | dRPC Pro, per 1M |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bitcoin | 10 | $6.12 | 10 | $5.44 | $2.45 | $4.80 |
| Ethereum | 20 | $12.25 | 20 | $10.89 | $2.45 | $4.80 |
| Base | 20 | $12.25 | 20 | $10.89 | $2.45 | $4.80 |
| Arbitrum | 20 | $12.25 | 20 | $10.89 | $2.45 | $4.80 |
| TRON | 30 | $18.38 | 20 | $10.89 | $2.45 | $4.80 |
| Solana | 30 | $18.38 | 50 | $27.22 | $2.45 | $3.90 |
| Scroll | 30 | $18.38 | 100 | $54.44 | $2.45 | $4.80 |
| Monad | 30 | $18.38 | 50 | $27.22 | $2.45 | $4.80 |
| Sui | 40 | $24.50 | 100 | $54.44 | $2.45 | $4.80 |
| TON | 40 | $24.50 | 50 | $27.22 | $2.45 | $4.80 |
| Polkadot | 40 | $24.50 | 60 | $32.67 | $2.45 | $4.80 |
| NEAR | 50 | $30.63 | 10 | $5.44 | Not listed | $4.80 |
Chainstack bills 1 RU per full-node call on every chain on its network list, and dRPC uses one pool for 120+ chains. Neither changes price when your traffic moves from Ethereum to Sui. Chainstack does not list NEAR, so NEAR teams should look at dRPC or GetBlock, where NEAR costs 10 CU.
GetBlock is cheaper than QuickNode on TRON and NEAR but far dearer on Scroll and Sui, at 100 CU a call. On Solana it charges 50 CU against QuickNode’s 30 credits, so the cheaper vendor flips with the chain.
Verdict: If your roadmap adds Sui, TON, Polkadot or NEAR, prefer flat meters like Chainstack and dRPC. QuickNode and GetBlock suit teams that stay on 10 and 20-credit chains.
The Rate Limit Floor

Price per call is half the story. QuickNode ties its request ceiling to the plan, so a team that needs more headroom must buy a bigger plan even if its call volume is small. Chainstack, dRPC and GetBlock all allow 250 requests per second for $49 a month, a rate that costs $499 on QuickNode Scale.
| Provider | 50 rps | 125 rps | 250 rps | 500 rps |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $49 Build | $249 Accelerate | $499 Scale | $999 Business | |
| $49 Growth | $49 Growth | $49 Growth | $499 Business | |
| $49 Pro | $49 Pro | $49 Pro | $199 Scale | |
| $49 Starter | $49 Starter | $49 Starter | $349 Scale | |
| $49 Developer | $499 Business | $999 Professional | $999 Professional |
Alchemy works differently: pay as you go includes 300 requests per second, measured as 10,000 compute units per second across the whole account, and sells more in blocks of 5,000 CU per second for $160 a month, per its throughput docs. Ankr pay as you go allows 1,500 requests per second on prepaid credits.
Verdict: For bursty apps with modest volume, the rate limit floor matters more than the per-call price. dRPC is the cheapest route to 500 requests per second at $199.
What Three Multi-Chain Workloads Cost
We built three traffic patterns, converted each into every vendor’s unit and picked the cheapest public plan that covers the volume and a peak of three times the average rate. dRPC had the lowest bill for both workloads that include Solana, and Chainstack the lowest for the EVM-only app at $49.
| Provider | EVM L2 app (Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum), 15M | Multi-chain dApp (4 EVM chains + Solana), 30M | Solana-first wallet with EVM support, 40M |
|---|---|---|---|
| $185 (Build) | $383 (Accelerate) | $568 (Scale) | |
| $49 (Growth) | $199 (Pro) | $199 (Pro) | |
| $202 (Pay as you go) | $358 (Pay as you go) | $395 (Pay as you go) | |
| $79 (Pro) | $154 (Pro) | $179 (Pro) | |
| $199 (Advanced) | $499 (Pro) | $713 (Premium) | |
| Solana only | Solana only | Solana only | |
| $300 (Pay as you go) | $625 (Deal ($500)) | $1,267 (Deal ($500)) | |
| $225 (Team (busy days over quota)) | No public Solana access | No public Solana access | |
| $224 (Business) | $224 (Business) | $335 (Business Plus) |

- EVM L2 app, 15M requests: Ethereum, Base and Arbitrum with a dApp mix of 40%
eth_call, 15% balances, 15% block numbers, 10% receipts, 10% logs, 5% sends and 5% gas estimates. Peak of 17 requests per second. - Multi-chain dApp, 30M requests: 70% EVM across Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum and Polygon, and 30% Solana with a wallet mix led by
getAccountInfo. Peak of 35 requests per second. - Solana-first wallet, 40M requests: 70% Solana and 30% EVM. Peak of 46 requests per second.
QuickNode’s bills come from credits, not rate limits. The EVM app needs 300M credits, so Build plus 220M credits of overage costs $185. The Solana-first wallet needs 1.08B credits because Solana weighs 30, which lands on Scale at $499 plus overage. Chainstack fits the 30M-request dApp on Pro at $199, and dRPC fits both Solana workloads on Pro with overage at $6 per million multi-chain and $3.90 per million Solana requests.
Verdict: For mixed EVM and Solana traffic, dRPC and Chainstack cost roughly a third to a half of QuickNode. For EVM-only apps, Chainstack is the clear low-cost pick.
Migration Effort From QuickNode
Moving standard JSON-RPC traffic off QuickNode is mostly an endpoint swap, since every provider here serves the same methods. The work sits in QuickNode-only products. Streams, marketplace add-ons and Yellowstone gRPC subscriptions have no drop-in equivalent and need their own replacement plan. The table rates the effort for a typical multi-chain app.
| Provider | Quota model | At the limit | Debug and trace | Gaps vs QuickNode | Effort |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly RU | Overage from $15 down to $5 per 1M RU | 2 RU per call | No NEAR, no SOC 1 report | Low | |
| Usage, CU per method | Pay as you go, no fixed cap | Not on Free | Account-wide throughput budget | Low | |
| Monthly CU pool | $6 per 1M multi-chain, $3.90 per 1M Solana | Flat price | No audit report on its pages | Low | |
| Monthly CU | Extra CU packages, $0.40 per 1M CU on Pro | 2x CU | Chain multipliers up to 100 in our set | Medium | |
| Monthly credits | $5 per 1M credits | Solana only | No EVM chains | Medium | |
| Prepaid credits | Top up the balance | Same credit price | High per-call rates | Low | |
| Daily credits | Requests fail until the daily reset | Weighted per method | Solana for select customers only | High | |
| Monthly requests | €5 down to €0.50 per 100,000 | 1 request per call | No audit report found | Medium |
QuickNode endpoints embed an auth token in the URL, with one endpoint per chain. Keep one environment variable per chain, swap them one chain at a time, and keep QuickNode as the fallback until error rates match.
// ethers v6: new provider first, QuickNode as fallback
import { FallbackProvider, JsonRpcProvider } from "ethers";
const primary = new JsonRpcProvider(process.env.BASE_RPC_URL);
const quicknode = new JsonRpcProvider(process.env.QUICKNODE_BASE_URL);
export const provider = new FallbackProvider([
{ provider: primary, priority: 1, weight: 2 },
{ provider: quicknode, priority: 2, weight: 1 },
]);
For Solana streaming, Alchemy sells gRPC from $75 per TB on pay as you go, dRPC from $60 per TB, and Chainstack lists Yellowstone Geyser gRPC among its add-ons. Check eth_getLogs block-range limits on the new plan, and move WebSocket subscriptions last because reconnect behavior differs.
Verdict: Chainstack, Alchemy, dRPC and Ankr are drop-in swaps for standard RPC. Budget extra work for Streams, marketplace add-ons and Solana gRPC consumers.
1. Chainstack

- Plans: Developer free (3M RU, 25 rps), Growth $49 (20M, 250 rps), Pro $199 (80M, 400 rps), Business $499 (200M, 600 rps), Enterprise from $990 (400M). Annual billing saves 16%.

- Strengths: one price for all EVM methods, a high rate ceiling and SOC 2 Type II through its operator Asphere on its trust page.
- Weaknesses: the highest per-call rates in this list, which put our Solana-first wallet at $1,267 a month.
Verdict: Ankr scores 6.3. It fits bursty, low-volume apps that need a high rate ceiling on prepaid credits. See its entry in our full RPC ranking.
7. Infura

- Plans: Core free (3M credits a day, 500 credits per second), Developer $50 (15M a day, 4,000 credits per second), Team $225 (75M a day, 40,000 credits per second), Enterprise custom. An add-on sells 55M more credits for $200 a month.
- Meter: 80 credits for
eth_calland most reads, 255 foreth_getLogsand 300 for gas estimates, per its credit cost table. - Strengths: a daily free allowance with archive data and solid Ethereum and L2 coverage.
- Weaknesses: requests fail once the daily quota is used, Solana is limited to select customers on its endpoints page, and no SOC 2 or ISO 27001 report found on its pages.
Verdict: Infura scores 6.1. It suits EVM-only teams with steady daily traffic. See its entry in our full RPC ranking. For Infura against QuickNode and Ankr, see our QuickNode vs Infura vs Ankr comparison.
8. NOWNodes

- Plans: Start free (100,000 requests for one month, 15 rps, 5 networks), Pro €20 (1M), Pro Plus €90 (10M), Business €200 (30M), Business Plus €300 (50M), Enterprise €500 (100M).
- Overage: €5 per 100,000 requests on Pro Plus, €1 on Business and Business Plus, €0.50 on Enterprise.
- Strengths: one price on every chain, so Sui or NEAR cost the same as Ethereum, and third place in two of our workloads.
- Weaknesses: no audit report found, a one-month free trial only, and fewer developer tools than QuickNode.
Verdict: NOWNodes scores 5.8. Pick it for simple euro billing across many chains. See its entry in our full RPC ranking.
Providers We Left Out
Dwellir counts one response as one credit on every method, including trace and debug, and its Developer plan costs $500 a year for 25M responses a month at 100 requests per second, per its pricing page. It is not in our main RPC ranking yet, so we have not scored it here.
Tatum, CDP Node and Lava sit lower in our RPC node provider ranking, and CDP Node serves Base only. Running your own nodes is the other route off QuickNode, but each chain needs its own clients, storage and upgrades. Our RPC providers hub covers when shared plans stop paying off.
Final Ranking
Chainstack wins on our weights because it pairs the lowest included rate with audits and a flat meter on every chain. Alchemy wins on free tier and tooling, dRPC on raw price for mixed traffic, and Helius is the Solana specialist. For a head-to-head of the top three, see our QuickNode vs Alchemy vs Chainstack comparison.
Chainstack, 8.6: best overall value, 1 RU per call on every chain.
Alchemy, 8.3: best free tier and data APIs, cheaper Solana reads.
dRPC, 7.9: cheapest pool for mixed EVM and Solana traffic.
GetBlock, 7.8: most reliable, but its own steep chain multipliers.
Helius, 7.0: best Solana depth, no EVM chains.
Ankr, 6.3: highest rate limit on prepaid credits.
Infura, 6.1: solid EVM option with a daily quota.
NOWNodes, 5.8: simple per-request billing in euros.
Verdict: Move EVM traffic to Chainstack or dRPC, put Solana on dRPC, Alchemy or Helius, and keep QuickNode as the fallback endpoint. Reprice your chain mix every quarter.
How to Test QuickNode Alternatives in One Week
A week of side-by-side traffic answers what a pricing page cannot. Keep QuickNode live, mirror a share of reads on each chain to two candidates, and log latency, error rates and block heights. Then price that week’s chain mix on each meter. Our RPC provider pricing guide explains each billing unit.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best QuickNode alternative in 2026?
On our weighted scorecard, Chainstack is the best QuickNode alternative at 8.6 out of 10, against QuickNode’s 7.7. It bills 1 request unit per call on every chain it lists, gives 250 requests per second for $49 and states SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001. Alchemy is second at 8.3.
What is the cheapest QuickNode alternative?
dRPC had the lowest bill in both of our workloads that mix EVM and Solana traffic, at $154 and $179 a month against $383 and $568 on QuickNode. Chainstack was cheapest for EVM-only traffic at $49 a month, and it has the lowest per-call rate on every chain we priced.
How do QuickNode API credits work?
QuickNode charges a set number of API credits per call based on the chain: 10 for Bitcoin, 20 for Ethereum and most EVM chains, 30 for Solana and TRON, 40 for Sui and TON, and 50 for NEAR. Trace, debug, token and NFT APIs cost twice the chain rate, and some specialized calls four times.
Is QuickNode cheaper than Alchemy?
The answer changes by chain. For our blended EVM dApp mix, QuickNode Build costs $12.25 per million calls against $13.47 on Alchemy pay as you go. For Solana wallet traffic, QuickNode costs $18.38 per million against about $8.32 on Alchemy, because QuickNode bills Solana at 30 credits a call.
Which QuickNode alternatives charge the same on every chain?
Chainstack charges 1 request unit per full-node call on every chain it lists, dRPC uses one compute unit pool for 120+ chains with a lower Solana rate, and NOWNodes counts one request per call. GetBlock, like QuickNode, multiplies the price by chain, from 10 to 100 CU in our set.
How hard is it to migrate from QuickNode?
For standard JSON-RPC traffic, migration is mostly an endpoint swap per chain, and a fallback provider makes it low risk. Plan extra work for QuickNode Streams, marketplace add-ons and Yellowstone gRPC consumers, and check eth_getLogs range limits and WebSocket behavior on the new provider.
